Rock ‘n' roll formed the early part of Stuart's career in television when he cut his teeth as a young researcher on The Tube, Britain's seminal TV music show.  Inspired to direct after studying for a degree in film and tv, Stuart now finds himself as one of the defining directors at the forefront of TV's new rock ‘n' roll - food!

Stuart's gastro-directing has produced a variety of quality products for all the major TV channels; his many foodie credits include Two Fat Ladies, Ainsley Harriott, Antony Worrall Thompson, Sophie Grigson, Nigel Slater and the Hairy Bikers.  Many an enduring television format has been started under his director's eye including Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen.

Working with on screen talent to produce natural passionate and memorable television moments, Stuart has found himself directing stories from various corners of the world. This has led to a diverse range of programming experience from travel and arts to fashion and entertainment.  He has also made shows with a couple of America's favourite home cooks and directed many of the in-store recipe promotions for Tesco TV.

His latest project for the BBC is with the renowned Michelin starred chef Raymond Blanc - His Kitchen Secrets will once again redefine cooking on television as the lid comes off a master chef at work.
