Feel Films took over Peter Richardson's "Churchill: The Hollywood Years" for Pathe during post production, overseeing pick-up shoots and producing a final re-cut.

A comedy based on the recent discovery that the famous wartime leader Winston Churchill, was not exactly who we thought he was. The rotund pipe-smoking statesman who we see in the pictures was actually an actor named Roy Bubbles. An invention by the English to cover up the fact that an American actually won the war for us.

Wasting away in the battlefields of Europe, testosterone-filled, cigar-smoking, American GI Winston Churchill is getting tired of having to fight the Germans single-handedly. He needs allied support. Travelling to England to convince the King to help save Europe from the onslaught of the Third Reich, Churchill underestimates the complexities of his task. Not only is the King a drunken monarch but only with the help of the naïve yet very clever Princess Elizabeth and loyal “Irish cockney” mate Jim Cheroo can Churchill succeed in allaying the efforts of his enemies, foiling the meeting between Hitler and the King, and exiling him back to his own country. Churchill beats the Nazi’s and gets the girl.
